$12 Million Display To Celebrate Hong Kong’s 20th Handover Anniversary

A huge firework display is set to go off over Victoria Harbour on July 1 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Hong Kong Handover.

There said to be creating a HUGE super firework wall measuring 1,250 meters wide by 300 meters high the total cost of the show will be around HK$12 Million and will last around 23 Minutes and will use a total of 39,888 shells WOW.

The massive firework display will incorporate Music (Another Day of Sun) from the musical La La Land,  LED lights and beam lights also included will be some amazing 3D effects.

A lot of the locals are not happy though as they see the firework display mainly aimed at westerners and not for the people of Hong Kong.

FIreworks Blaze in India Kills 23 People

At least 23 people have died and seven other have been hurt in a huge firework explosion at a firework factory in the Central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh.

It took firefighters more than 3 hours to douse the massive blaze on Wednesday evening in the Balaghat district.

Although the exact cause is still unknown at this time local officials suspect it was started with a Burning Beedi (Cigarette) accidental explosions are common at Indian firework factories.

Officials also stated that each of the affected families will receive 200,000 rupees (£2,396) in compensation and the injured will have all their medical expenses paid for.
